HTC Aria is a quad-band GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and dual-band UMTS 850/ 1900 phone. The handset measures 103.8 X 57.7 X 11.7 mm and weighs only 115 grams. It is one of the most compact and lightweight smartphones available in the market. The phone runs on Qualcomm MSM 7227 600 MHz processor and features the very popular Android version 2.1 operating system.
HTC Aria comes with a 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen which has a resolution of 320 X 480 pixels and can display up to 256K colors. It also features an accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate, proximity sensor for auto turn-off, flip-to-mute a call and an optical trackpad for easy navigation. The phone uses HTC Sense user interface which can be easily customized by the user.
The phone has a internal 512 MB ROM and 384 MB RAM. If that is not enough, a memory card slot which supports microSD cards up to 32 GB is also provided. Users can store unlimited entries and fields in the phonebook and call records. Class 10 GPRS, Class 10 EDGE, HSDPA, Wi-Fi features allow you to connect to the internet on the go. Other data transfer features include Bluetooth version 2.1 with A2DP and microUSB version 2.1.
HTC Aria offers a stunning 5 megapixel camera which allows you to take high resolution images of 2592 X 1944 pixels and also record videos. Other features of the camera include geo-tagging, face detection, smile detection, autofocus, etc. Users can upload their photos and videos directly on websites like Youtube, Picasa, etc. moments after taking the photo.
The handset uses a standard Li-Ion 1200 mAh battery which offers a stand-by time of upto 372 hours and talk time of upto 6 hours.
